Eligibility
• You must be aged 16 or over
• You will need to be working a minimum of 30 hours per week
• You must be working as a manager or team leader, looking after a designated team within any industry.
• You must not be in any other form of education or employment
• This qualification is traditionally used for upskilling of exiting staff members, but it can be used for new recruitment so long as both the candidate and job role are of a high enough standard.
Course Overview
You will undertake a Level 3 Standard Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship.
• This qualification normally takes between 15 and 18 months to complete.
• You will undertake a set curriculum, known as an apprenticeship 'standard' which will cover the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to become proficient in your field of work.
• For all 'Standard' qualifications, a final assessment known as an EPA (End-Point Assessment) will be held to evaluate the candidates knowledge. This is typically performed following a 3 month preparation stage, once the main vocational portfolio had been completed.
• All work is delivered by qualified, subject specialist assessors at your place of work, or at HYA Training.
• All assessment is delivered on a 1-2-1 basis, unless otherwise requested.
In addition to the Team Leader qualification, you will be required to study English and Maths (Level 2) if you do not already have GCSE grades A*-C in these subjects. A full assessment of needs will be given during your induction.

What Is The Typical Role of a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor?
A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role. Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally. Roles/Occupations may include: Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson, and Shift Manager.
