Earn Whilst You Learn

Our apprenticeship programme is a dedicated route to gaining a full time job whilst learning new skills via a workplace-specific qualification.
You will work for a local employer, learning the skills of their industry whilst developing your own career path.

So, how does it work?

Firstly, you will need to apply for one of the many apprenticeship opportunties that HYA Training have available! Applications can be made through our website, or via the Gov.uk 'Find an Apprenticeship' service. Once we have recieved your application, we will arrange to speak with you further about the role to which you have applied, as well as asking for a copy of your CV. Following our conversation, we will forward your CV to our employers to review.

Securing an apprentice role is just like any other job! However, that also means you'll probably need to attend an interview.
HYA Training will support you in any way we can as part of interview preparation. It will be up to you to attend the interview by your own means. If you're successful, you will be given a start date by your employer and we will ask you to complete some pre-apprenticeship assessments, ready for your programme induction session.

Once you've started your job, you will be assigned a personal apprenticeship tutor who will plan your learning schedule with you.

Your study time can be based within our training centre (possibly as part of a classroom session with other students) or at your place of work (for individual learning), depending on what we agree with your manager. We can also provide your tuition via virtual/distance sessions via live-webcam services. We always try to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of both yourself and the employer.

How do I know if an apprenticeship is right for me?

We truly believe that an apprenticeship is the best option for gaining a nationally recognised qualification, whilst getting the hands on experience and industry skills which employers hold in very high regard. Dont forget, an apprentice is always paid a wage, which wouldn't be the case when going to college or sixth-form.
Apprenticeships can act as a great starting point for a new role, regardless of your age. They allow an employer to assess your individual competency in the job whilst supporting you to complete your qualification, which often leads towards permenant employment within the organisation, and possibly even promoted responsibilities in the near future!

Already Employed?

Our apprenticeship qualifications can also be utilised by staff that are already employed within an organisation, for their personal development. If you are already employed but want to gain new skills relevant to your role, then contact us to find out how we can help.
