Customer Service forms the basis of any organisation be it in the Retail, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Service, Catering or Construction.  Businesses need to continuously develop new ways of delivering excellent customer service to their internal and external customers, so new roles are evolving all the time.  This means there are a large number of job opportunities available for you in a Customer Service role.

For all jobs in Customer Service you will need to show your employer you:

HYA Training Programme - HYA offer training and support to candidates who are working towards an NVQ in Customer Service. The qualification is competence based which means candidates need to demonstrate their ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected to customer service duties.

In order to do this training is given in the different types of customer service areas to give theoretical and practical knowledge, to support your job role in the
workplace.  The candidates will demonstrate competency towards the NVQ while getting experience with an employer.

How It Works - Prior to starting the training the candidate will undertake an initial assessment to determine the level of NVQ they will complete. Candidates will then plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor/work placement to gain the relevant skills/knowledge to achieve their NVQ.

Apprenticeship Framework - The Customer Service NVQ’s are aimed at staff working in a customer service based environment across all occupations and sectors of employment. HYA offers the Customer Service NVQ at levels 2 & 3.

Apprenticeship - Is intended for individuals, whose role involves carrying out a broad range of customer service activities, requiring a limited amount of supervision and working with some autonomy.

Advanced Apprenticeship - Is intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out customer service duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy. The individual will be contributing to the development and implementation of customer service within the organisation, and have a substantial amount of experience.

Apprenticeship Framework - Apprenticeships are also available for young people aged 16-18. Those working towards a level 2 NVQ can complete an Apprenticeship and level 3 an Advanced Apprenticeship.

As well as the NVQ, the Apprenticeships includes: Key Skills and a Technical Certificate Qualifications at the relevant level
