HYA Training Programme - HYA offer training and support to young people who are either currently working, or looking to work in administration, across all occupations and sectors of employment.  The Administration Apprenticeship Framework is work-based; which means the majority of your time will be spent learning the job while working with an employer. If you are not currently working in the administration area, HYA Training can help find an employer willing to support your training.

The NVQ itself is based around learning the skills connected with administration duties, and providing evidence of what you have done and learned. The majority of this evidence will be collected in a portfolio, and will include items such as written work, observation reports and witness testimonies from supervisors etc.

In order to help you achieve the qualification, training is given in the latest computer applications, and in the different types of office duties such as reception and filing. This will give you theoretical and practical knowledge, to support your job role in the workplace. Some of this may be done during 'off-the-job' training sessions at our training centre.

How It Works - Prior to starting the Apprenticeship all candidates undertake an initial assessment, which together with your previous qualifications and past experience, help determine the right level of Apprenticeship for you.  Candidates not already employed will be required to attend interviews with local employers until a suitable work placement has been secured.

Your HYA Training assessor will then help you plan a programme of development and assessment to gain the relevant skills and knowledge necessary to achieve your Apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship Framework - The Business & Administration Apprenticeship’s are aimed at staff working in administration across all occupations and sectors of employment.  Adminstration Apprenticeships today comprises of a  National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Technical Certificate and Key Skills.  The acheivement of the whole framework is necessary for an Apprenticeship to be certificated.
