Entry to Employment (e2e)
Moving young people forward… There are thousands of young people currently out of training, education and employment in the UK. All of these people are potential employees. All of these people have aspirations and talent and all they need is a chance to show what they can achieve.
Providing job opportunities for Young People - e2e is a new initiative aimed primarily at 16-18 year olds, currently not receiving training, who are not in education or employment. e2e aims to move them forward, providing them with the skills and qualifications they need to progress towards entering the workplace and contributing positively.
e2e is a dynamic programme of learning that will support young people in building their confidence, their basic or key skills and their employability in order that they can access employment either when they move out of e2e or after further training. Within e2e they will have the opportunity to experience a working environment. They will have the opportunity to build vocational skills and understand more about the employment opportunities open to them.
But why should you get involved? - e2e is funded by the Learning and Skills Council delivered through HYA Training. We work together to move young people to where they want to go. e2e aims to help 16-18 year olds, not currently in employment, training or education, develop the skills they need to enter the workplace and realise their true potential, but we need your help if this is to be achieved.
Benefits to the Employer - Employers who are prepared to support the initiative by offering work placements to young people. First hand experience of the workplace is important. It helps make up their minds about their future and develops their confidence and skills. It gives them a taste of the wider skills and knowledge needed to be employable. There are also many benefits to employers and from answering skill shortages and becoming a real part of the community to having a chance to see how potential employees suit your organisation’s culture.
Can you help? - If you feel you can help a young person on e2e by offering a work placement or would like to find our more, please contact HYA Training. It requires minimal administration and could make a real difference to the life of a young person, who potentially, could be your next star employee.
